- Adobe After Effects CS3 -> This is where most of the action takes place, only you also need some extra plugins to get access to the real cool effects.
- Trapcode's Plugins (Particular, Shine, 3D Stroke, Form) -> These professional plugins allow some really amazing things to be done in Adobe After Effects.
- Adobe Photoshop CS3 -> Stills and other stuff
- Gif MovieGear -> for uptomizing the gif animations and making them as small as humanly/computerly possible.
- Macromedia Flash 8 -> Cos longerand bigger animations don't really work in GIF... and everyone has flash anyway...

That's nice to read! But in fact, I'd hope that rather than keeping a fellow animator humble, it would inspire and push you to do things like it (or better) :D.
